Dr. Razali, Dr. Ismayadi Wons the Public University Administrator Day Awards

BANDAR ENSTEK Sept 15 :

Two administrative staff of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) - Director of Center for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) UPM, Dr. Razali Othman and Research Officer, Advanced Technology Institute (ITMA) UPM, Dr. Ismayadi Ismail - won a glorious award on Public University Administrator Day (UA) recently.

Dr. Razali won the category of Excellent Administrator (Writing) category, while Dr. Ismayadi won the category of Excellent Administrator (Research). both of them receieved trophies, certificates and books at the Glorious Administrator Award Ceremony at the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), here

On his victory, Dr Razali said UA's administrators were able to write well. More importantly, he said, administrators should be given the opportunity and encouragement to write suitable with their services at the university. "I hope this award will not only encourage all administrative staff at UPM, but also administrators at 20 UA to contribute toward the excellence of the university in the form of writing according to their respective fields of expertise," he said.

 

Dr Ismayadi said that such awards could prove that the role and contributions of administrators were not neglected. "I pray that our fellow administrators, especially Research Officers, will continue to conduct research that will produce big impact not only on the university but also on the whole country," he said.

Seven Administrator Excellence Awards were presented at the event in recognition of the contributions of administrators in supporting the vision and mission of the university. Five more awards were MASTI Special Award, Excellent Administrator Award (Community Service), Excellent Administrator Award (Creativity & Innovation), Outstanding Administrator Award and MASTI Prime Leadership Award.

Earlier, at the inauguration of the Public University Administrator Convention, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, which represented by deputy Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching, expressed his gratitude for the initiative of the Majlis Persatuan Pentadbir Universiti Awam (MASTI) who could gather the leadership of the governing association in 20 UA in the event.

At the same event, ' University Transformation Catalyst Administrator’ book written by 17 administrators in UA was also launched. – WAZAN Online
